CARBS - not all carbs are created equal so it's important to focus on macro & micro (nutrional value) of foods. Great post justget.fit | When people cut carbs they often restrict bread but continue to eat 🍉🍇🍏 👉🏻 FRUITS ARE CARBS and there is nothing wrong with that! ⠀ A lot of fruit actually contain more carbs than foods deemed "bad" 🚫 like bread 🥖🍞🥯 ... I'm not saying to cut out fruit and bread, for most of us carbs are a very important food group 😍! Fruits contain a ton of nutrients, vitamins and have a lot of benefits that overly processed bread doesn't have! It's important to remember there are also different kinds of carbs like complex carbs and simple carbs, and our bodies process them, break them down and use them differently. Fruits digest very differently and both of these foods fall on different places on the glycemic index which affects the body too. The weights of these are also different and important to keep in mind🍌 ⠀ 💛The point of this, is that it is beneficial to know what's what ☝so you can make informed choices based on your dietary preferences and goals. What works for one person may not work for another. I personally include both whole grain sprouted bread and fruit in my diet because it works for me. Bananas are also a🍌 great preworkout! Thinking greatly about the recent shutdown of the electric grid out west, I bought a pressure canner. It worries me that a power company can at any point disrupt someone else's life because of poor management skills. My chest freezer is where my healthy free range, wild, antibiotic meat has been kept. But no longer will it be my holding place because now I am pressure canning meats and foods. This dough got to rise 48 hours before cooking!!! Homemade pizza dough often hurts our tummies!! Why???🧐 because the gluten needs time to break down! ⏱⏱ and when we make our own dough, we often don’t let the dough rest at least 24 hours! Causing the dough to break down in our stomachs🥴🥴 ❗️ - - It was fun to see the types of toppings offered as opposed to US! Things like zucchini flowers, corn and prosciutto! Also, not using very much cheese is popular! (I put way more than recommended on here) AND the cheese goes last! Senaste löprundan i lördags, 5 km i 5:10 min/km tempo, 6 dagar till loppet 💪🏻 Är ganska sliten efter det passet och förra veckans träning, trötta lungor och trött kropp. Har nog fått träningsvärk av något slag på båda sidorna bakom revbenen typ för jag får nämligen ont/kramp när jag promenerat en stund, det gör att jag inte kan andas ordentligt då... har hänt flera gånger att min överkropp strejkar efter en vecka med snabba tempo tider, öm i hela ryggen och framsidan samt trötta tröga lungor. Så jag får nog tänka om med veckans träning, kroppen behöver vila och återhämta sig känner jag, måste ju känna mig i topp form på söndag när loppet är! 🏁 Så några 12 km+ blir det inte idag... det får nog räcka med att promenera alternativt en kort lugn runda ikväll men ska försöka tygla mig själv, älskar verkligen att springa så det är svårt att låta bli. Hade jag fått önska så skulle jag vilja springa varje dag men då hade man ju gått i konkurs haha!

Here’s my reminder to you that there’s a healthy way to lose weight and it definitely doesn’t involve starving yourself! ❤️*Swipe to see two more examples of why this doesn’t work*⠀ .⠀ I want to keep you from making the same mistakes I did when I was younger. Starving yourself all day only to binge later at night won’t leave you feeling good! Not to mention all the hormonal issues and health issues that arise when we eat too little.⠀ .⠀ Losing weight the healthy way may take more time but it will leave you feeling so much better overall! Eating in a slight calorie deficit while paying attention to the quality of our food, getting movement in, hydrating and picking up healthy habits along the way is where the magic happens. Here are my tips on how to lose weight the healthy way:⠀ .⠀ 1️⃣ Stop drinking your calories, aside from low sugar kombuchas, actually green green juices (mostly veggies), & high quality protein shakes. Aka get rid of the juices, fruit smoothies, sodas, sugary coffee drinks etc⠀ 2️⃣ Limit the processed foods you eat.⠀ 3️⃣ Add tons of veggies to your dishes! This will add loads of volume.⠀ 4️⃣ Make sure you’re getting an adequate amount of protein. This will help you feel full.⠀ 5️⃣ Add in some healthy fats. Fats are super important for the absorption of certain vitamins & important for overall health.⠀ 6️⃣ Find the right amount of whole food carbs for you. You definitely shouldn’t fear carbs either! Meal Prep ... don’t knock it until you try it. My trainer newphormjordan will tell you first hand that I was anti meal prep since we started training together 18 months ago. I gave him every reason/excuse there is. . What made me finally want to try it is I was just finally sick and tired of not seeing the results I want to see from working out. I told myself that I was going to try it for a month. I knew it was going to be overwhelming for me, and making a relatively short term goal, gave me comfort in an uncomfortable way of doing things. . Well, I am approaching a month, and I can proudly say that there is no way I am quitting this! I’ve made more gains in one month, than I did in the 17 months prior. . I wasn’t even someone who was eating terribly. I have Celiac Disease and cannot eat Gluten (will discuss this in future posts). However, I was still eating things that I thought were healthy and have learned they really aren’t, or foods that aren’t necessarily unhealthy but they aren’t providing enough of the macro nutrients my body needs to help me hit my goals. . The prep takes a while, but I am sure I will get quicker and quicker in time. When the new week starts, it is such a time saver, and keeps me eating right, since it is already made and I don’t even have to think about what to eat. . It’s a form of self respect. . When others ask “ how do you eat the same foods every day” . Ever here of the old expression You are What You Eat? Well, it’s true. . 🍩 If you eat a bunch of donuts for breakfast each day, we’ll chances are you will feel and look like one too. . We put our body’s through immense stress each day, and they continue to wake us up in the morning AND get through the day. . Eating healthy is a huge part of my life. Respecting my body by feeding it nutrient dense foods & supplementing with vitamins helps me achieve not only physical goals, but health goals as well, (👵🏻being prepared now - so my future old lady self will thank me later) . As far as eating “the same” foods each day... W E L L if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I have found food that I can eat everyday & not get sick of. . Find what works for you, make sure it’s sustainable & something that will put you closer to your goals. .
